A. FUEL ADDITIVES.
We often recommend a fuel additive/catalyst is put into the fuel after treatment.
There are a number of additives available and they all have varying benefits.
They are aimed at preventing fungal growth and the sort of bacterial build-up which can lead to sludge particles which will block filters.
How we use the Fuel Additive
In most cases of site work we add some catalyst early in the polishing process, to help separate the molecules of fuel from the contaminant. Once the process is completed and all the conditioned fuel is back in the tank, we add more additive to maintain the protection.

Our Recommended Additives
The products we particularly recommend and which we routinely use in our Fuel Polishing programmes are:
WASP F.T.R. (Fuel Treatment – Red). This is the most up-to-date chemical technology available. It disperses and inhibits sludge and bacterial growth. One 250mL bottle treats up to 1,000 litres of fuel.
Kathon FP1.5 As can be seen in the test report…………….this had the best results for both decontamination and for preventative treatment at that time.
Sampling of the Fuel
We recommend that regular samples are taken to show whether contamination is starting to build up. Treatment by our conditioning and polishing machine can then be scheduled to suit your convenience. |

B. REPLACEMENT FILTERS (ELEMENTS)
We offer a range of replacement elements with sizes from 10 microns to 60 microns.
The 60 micron models use stainless steel filaments and are fully washable for a long life.
These filters are used on the special conditioning machine which we use for our Fuel Polishing service work and have a proven track record.
